The applications described are examples of how the SBF and PBM200 can be adapted for different processes commonly used in life science research laboratories and biobanks.

 

The PBM200 is used for the recovery of PBMCs using the Ficoll-Paque density gradient technique and the capability is extended with the PBM200C to include cell counting.

 

The SBF core modules are suitable for

 

• Processing blood collected in tubes with anticoagulant (e.g. EDTA)
• Processing blood collected in gel separator tubes

 

A sub-set of the SBF modules can be used for simpler processes

 

• Processing blood collected in Paxgene tubes
• Processing urine
• Processing saliva

 

Other applications can be developed upon request.
